STEPS TO USE THE WASTE ESTIMATION MODEL

Step 1

Download your “Orders” CSV File

Your CSV file must include the following columns: “Sale Date,” “Quantity,” “Shipping Discount,” “Order Shipping,” “Ship State,” “Ship Zipcode,” “Ship Country,” and “Order ID.” Additional columns may be present, but will not be used by the model. We recommend removing any personal information before uploading.

    1. Log in to Your Etsy Shop Manager.

    2. Navigate to Settings > Options > Download Data.

    3. In the “Orders” section, select "Order Items" as the CSV Type.

    4. Choose the Year you want analyzed and leave the Month field blank.

    5. Click “Download CSV.” Etsy will email the file to your registered email address.

    6. Check your email and download the CSV file.

Step 2

Upload CSV file & enter ship-origin ZIP code

Click “Browse files” to select the CSV file or drag & drop it into the upload box. Then, type in the ZIP code from which your packages are usually shipped and click enter.

Step 3

Wait 10-15 sec and review the results!

Wait 10-15 seconds for the model to finish analyzing. Once the processing is complete, your waste estimations and trends will be displayed. You can now use this data to track impact, reduce waste, or share your sustainability efforts!
